It was an honour hosting our umbrella organisation, the Ecumenical Youth Council, their last Executive Committee and delegates from their fellow member organisations all over Europe. We were also blessed to be joined by representatives from World Council of Churches and the Conference of European Churches.
We exchanged our experiences and situations in our home organisations.

Committees (smaller working groups) dove deeper into certain topics. One reflected on finances and the long-term funding of EYCE. Another one on future programms, themes and working steps for the upcoming year(s). ÖJR delegates highlighted especially the need for the further development of violence protection and safeguarding concepts. And they were reminding to have those in mind who work with children in Christian contexts, when thinking about building a European, ecumenical youth network.
More work will be done on all of those issues.
A third Committee prepared the election of a new leadership board of EYCE.
We congratulate the newly elected Executive Committee of EYCE and wish blessings upon your work in the upcoming years! 🙏
The time to connect deeper was found at meal times, coffee breaks, late evenings, and of course at the beloved Intercultural Evening! 😋 (🖼 pics 5 & 6)
